At the close of his inspection, my client said, "Thank you for letting me follow you around during the inspection. This is the first time I've ever had an inspector take me through the house like this. I learned a lot and you really showed me how things operate." He went on to say that he has had several home inspections in other parts of the country over the years, but those inspectors were never interested in showing him the house.

You, obviously, have a lot of other things to do when you're buying a house and having it inspected. But, if your schedule allows, I prefer having you go with me during your inspection so that you can ask any questions you have, as they arise. This also gives me the chance to show how the various systems in your house operate, how to change the furnace filter, and more. It's a great way for you to become familiar with the house you're looking to buy. So, I really wouldn't have it any other way.

Nine years ago, a couple had me inspect the house they were buying. During the ensuing nine years, they referred me to one of their friends who was buying a house and to their son when he bought a house. This month, when they were buying a new house, they hired me to inspect it. Throughout the inspection, they both kept saying very complimentary things about me to their real estate agent. Their agent hadn't worked with me before. It means a lot when clients are so impressed with my work that they keep my information and share it with their friends and family members.
