My client is moving to Kansas City from Germany. So her father, a real estate agent in Louisiana, drove up for my inspection. He's been involved in many home inspections in his career, so he did his research. He found me online, liked what he saw, but also checked me out with his local home inspector in Louisiana. She (his Louisiana home inspector) and I have never met. But, she liked my level of knowledge, evident in my responses to home inspection questions on Facebook. So, she gave me a good referral. During my inspection, he liked how thorough I was and how I presented things factually, not emotionally. He said that I was "not an alarmist". That means a lot coming from someone with his background who had done so much research on me.

My client is an estimator for an industrial construction company. He followed me around during his Complete Home Inspection, finding out that what he knew about industrial construction didn't apply to residential construction. When we were finished, he said that he was very impressed with my knowledge and with how thorough I was. And he said that he is going to recommend me to his a friend who is looking to buy a house. That's high praise, indeed.
